AAA Self Storage Depot was the first project that Diamondback Metal Systems completed in Vancouver, BC. This was over 100,000 square foot 3-story building. This project was very challenging for Diamondback in the design aspect due to most of the self-storage facilities built in Canada are constructed mostly in heavy steel components. This took many meetings with city officials and the structural engineer to devise a system that not only incorporated heavy steel components it also included a light guage post and purlin design. The 1st and 2nd floor used heavy steel components while the 3rd floor was light guage components. Through out the whole process there were several design changes due to city requirements, but Diamondback Metal Systems over came all of the changes that were placed in front of them while working closely with the structural engineer and the General contractor involved in this project. Palcor Management was the General Contractor on this project, and provided the erection of this facility.

AAA Self Storage Depot was a 97,000 square foot 3-storage building located in Vancouver, BC. Since this was the 2nd facility working with the same owner, structural engineer, and general contractor the design of the building was less complicated on this building. Many of the design changes that were made on the 1st building were incorporated early into the design of this building. The 1st and 2nd floor consisted of heavy steel components, and the 3rd floor used a light guage post and purlin system. The only challenges on this project were due to the winter weather conditions in Canada.

AAABCO Self Storage was a 72,400 square foot facility which consisted of 1 single-storage building and 2 multi-storage buildings. This project started in February 2006 and construction was completed in June 2006. This was an addition to an existing facility which meant that certain color schemes and building designs needed to match. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied the metal building components on this project, and Diamondback Installations erected the buildings along with the door and hallway components.

Airport Resort Parking LLC

Airport Resort Parking was an addition to an existing facility. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied the material for 8 additional units, while Diamondback Installations erected the units. This site is located next to the Denver Airport and these units are sold to individuals to park their cars while they are traveling.

Akamai Self Storage

Akamai Self Storage is a 104,000 square foot facility located on Ewa Beach, HI. This project started in the Fall 2005 and construction was completed in Spring 2006. The 3- story self storage facility was installed with a firewall insulated panel with an Asteco finish. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied and installed all of the door and hallway components for the facility, and Diamondback Installations provided the erection for this project.

Akamai Self Storage consists not only of an office facility, but includes an apartment for housing its resident managers. Since the facility opened in the Spring of 2006 their projected lease up is on schedule per their projections. This facility won Facility of the Year in the Messenger Magazine.

Anacortes Self Storage

Anacortes Self Storage was a 22,300 square foot facility which consisted of 2 single-story buildings. Due to heavy rain in the Washington are this project was delayed for over a month. This projected started in January 2006 and was completed in March 2006. Diamondback Metal Systems did not supply the material on this job, but Diamondback Installation provided the erection of the 2 buildings.

Bayview Clearspan was a 6,000 square foot clearspan metal building. This project started in November 2005 and was completed in December 2005. Due to high wind conditions the installation crews were delayed working on several areas of the building, due to safety concerns. Diamondback Metal Systems did not supply any material for this building, but Diamondback Installations provided all of the erection for constructing this building.

Belmarin Keys Self Storage is a 89,500 square foot building. This project consists of 2 single-story and 3 multi-story buildings. This facility not only includes conventional storage but wine storage and an office with a resident manager living area. This project started in Winter 2005 and completed in Summer 2006. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied the materials for the buildings which included the door and hallway components. Diamondback Installations supplied the labor to erect the buildings for this facility.

Discovery Park Self Storage

Discovery Park Self Storage is a 48,000 square foot facility located in Bellingham, WA. This project started in July 2005 and construction was complete in December 2005. This is a 4-story self storage facility that was constructed out of an all steel frame structure. Diamondback Metal Systems not only supplied and installed all of the building components, but all of the door and hallway systems for the facility.

This is a 26ga corrugated hallway system with rollup doors and filler corrugated filler panels. In this system the options of kick plate and corner guards were utilized to give added protection to very high traffic areas in the hallway system. This also incorporates a soffit light system for added visibility in the hallways.

This is a double stack locker unit which is good for wine storage customers or customers not needing much space to store their items. These are prehung doors with no exposed screws. This system comes in a single, double or triple stack system depending on your customers needs.

Hawaii Self Storage

Hawaii Self Storage, owned by MW Group, made some unit mix changes to their existing facility in Pearl City, HI. Since Diamondback Metal Systems and Diamondback Installations were currently working on a jobsite in Hawaii it was easy to accommodate supplying door and hallway components for their facility.

Hawaii Self Storage is a 120,000 square foot building. This facility is a multi-story building consisting of 5 floors. This project started in April 2006 and was completed October 2006. The biggest challenge for Diamondback Metal Systems and Diamondback Installations were the material deliveries and storing the material onsite. The site was on the corner of 2 major roads in Honolulu and for every delivery the city had to close the roads for the trucks to off load the material. Once the material was off loaded the space to store the material at the jobsite was very limited. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied all of the steel building materials along with the door and hallway components.

Lockaway Self Storage is a 20,910 square foot facility which consists of 2 single story buildings. This project started in May 2005 and was completed in July 2005. This was an existing facility that they were expanding, so there were certain items that needed to be consistent with the current buildings. There were some additional items that the owner asked Diamondback Installations if they could help him complete and the crews came back a few weeks later to accommodate the owners request. Diamondback Metal Systems and Diamondback Installations are currently working on another project for this owner.

This project started in the beginning of June 2005 and was completed at the end of June 2005. This project had several delays due to high wind conditions which our installation crews were not allowed to work due to safety conditions. Diamondback Metal Systems designed this facility and Diamondback Installations supplied all of the erection to the buildings.

Meridian Self Storage is a 34,000 square foot building. This facility is a multi-story building consisting of 4 floors. This project started in September 2006 and was completed in December 2006. Weather delays stopped the installation of this project several times. North Plains RV & Self Storage

North Plains RV & Self Storage is a 80,450 square foot facility which consists of 9 single story buildings. This project started in October 2006 and was completed in February 2007. Due to the extreme weather conditions hitting the Northwest area there were several delays on this jobsite. Diamondback Metal Systems supplied a post and purlin system for framing the buildings and a complete door and hallway system for the buildings. On this project there were several commercial grade doors with motorized operators which were required for complying with ADA requirements. Diamondback Installations provided all of the installation for these materials.

Public Storage – Reroof

Public Storage – Reroof consisted of reproofing 5 buildings. This project started in November 2006 and took approximately 2 weeks to complete. We are seeing more of this type of work being performed as some of the existing facilities were built many years ago and need to be replaced. The metal building manufacturers have made many improvements over the years to make the roofing material much more durable and longer lasting.

Diamondback Installations started erecting in November 2006 and will be completed in February 2007. Diamondback Metal Systems provided all of the metal building components along with the door and hallway components. Several commercial grade doors with motors were supplied on this job to comply with the ADA requirements in this area.

Simply Storage of HI is a 31,482 square foot facility. This project was an existing clear span building. This project started in April 2006 and was completed in September 2006. Since this was a clear span building a mezzanine floor system needed to be constructed to provide the 3 floors needed to accommodate the unit mix designed by the Architect. The first 2 floors required structural metal building framing components while the 3rd floor was a free standing system. Diamondback Metal Systems provided all the metal building components and door and hallway components for this facility. Diamondback Installations provided the erection for this project.
